Neurodiverse, Learning Disorders, Cognitive and Developmental Disabilities

  • eBooks & eAudiobooks are available on multiple platforms (Libby, Boundless, hoopla, Tumblebooks) with accessibility features for easier reading and comprehension
  • Serenity Box for in-library use: The box contains visual, tactile, and auditory stimulation objects to ease anxiety. You can check it out and return it at the Service Center for use during your visit
  • Sensory Materials Theme Kit for children available for three-week checkout
  • Audio read-along devices for Children (Yoto, Tonie, Wonderbooks)

Vision Impairment

Deaf or Hard of Hearing

  • Contact us online with your account and reference questions
  • Staff at the Service Center have quick access to a small whiteboard to communicate
  • All CAPL-produced videos on our YouTube channel are closed-captioned

Physical Disabilities

  • Our building is ADA compliant
  • Digital Branch resources and collections are accessible from home on your computer or device
  • Homebound delivery service for CAPL cardholders who are temporarily or permanently unable to visit the Library in person
